WASHINGTON, DC-When playing against a powerhouse like the
Salisbury Seagull, there isn't much that can be said.
Gallaudet gave it their all today against Salisbury, but was just
not able to keep up on the offensive and defensive ends on the
game. The Seagulls showed their ability as they made their
way to a 23-0 victory over the Lady Bison. Gallaudet never
gave up and battled through both games.
The second game proved to be a little better at sophomore
pitcher Alicia Balzer, pitched as well as she could. The
second game the Lady Bison allowed 16 runs, 6 better than they had
in the first game.
While the Lady Bison did not win, they gave it their all, but
the Seagulls' ability to find the holes showed to be too much for
Gallaudet. On the offensive side of both games, Gallaudet had
a difficult time hitting the ball and was shut out in the double
header.
Gallaudet takes the diamond again on Friday, April 10, for their
final CAC games against Wesley College. Come support the Lady
Bison for the doubleheader that takes place at 3 and 5pm on our
home field.
