Washington, DC- In today's games, York College gave
Gallaudet a run for their money forcing the Lady Bison to respond
on the defensive end. Senior pitcher Kallie Williams pitched
a tough first game, however too many Gallaudet errors led to 22
runs in five innings for York. Offensively, York was too
difficult to match; the only hit for the Lady Bison came from
freshman, Rosemary Goodman. The final score of the first game
was 22-0.
The second game looked hopeful for Gallaudet, as things picked
up on the defensive end. Senior centerfielder, Keri Schmidt,
provided a solid defensive effort for Gallaudet.
Sophomore Alicia Balzer pitched her way through five innings.
It was up until the last inning where York claimed an
additional seven runs to put Gallaudet away for good. The Lady
Bison's only response was Schmidt's lone hit in the inning. The
final score was 0-14.
The Gallaudet Lady Bison will take on Penn State-Harrisburg in a
double-header on April 1. The first game is to begin at 3pm
with the second game to follow at 5pm.
