Gallaudet came to Christendom College tonight prepared to win,
and thanks to the contributions of several players, Gallaudet won
58-34.
Gallaudet dominated on the boards today, outrebounding
Christendom 40-26, keying the victory. They were led by Ursa Rewolinski
with 14 rebounds. Brittainy Payne, who
played point guard added 8 rebounds. Payne is growing into the
point guard position and had 4 assists today.
Delasha
Singleton had her best game of the season today with 13 points
and 7 rebounds. Gallaudet Head
Coach Kevin Cook has been asking her to provide more hustle and
provide quickness, and Singleton provided both today.
Amanda
Kreiger had the hot hand offensively with 16 points and found
open teammates for 3 assists. Lani Murashige also
had 3 assists. Nukeitra Hayes scored
16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
When asked his thoughts of the game, Coach Cook said, "It was a
nice team win tonight. Several bright spots surfaced. We need to
keep playing this way against Marymount on Wednesday. We will have
to take care of the basketball and control the tempo."
Gallaudet is now 5-12. They face nationally ranked
Marymount Wednesday night at 6 pm at the Gallaudet Field House.
