Tonight's game couldn't have started better for Gallaudet, as they jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead in the first 50 seconds of the game, and kept the lead for the next 8 minutes, but it wasn't enough, as Mary Washington defeated the Bison 80-69.

The turning point in the game came after Gallaudet led 18-17 on a Jeremy Thrush free throw, with 11 minutes left in the first half.  After the free throw, Mary Washington went on a 12-0 run, and Gallaudet was not able to get any closer than 4 points the rest of the game.

Sekoe White had one of the best games of his career, scoring 32 points, with 5 of them being 3-pointers. Jon Mowl scored 12 points and had 6 assists. As a team, Gallaudet shot 39% from the floor, and did an outstanding job protecting the basketball, with 12 assists and 12 turnovers for the game.  Mary Washington had 9 assists and 22 turnovers.

Gallaudet fought hard until the final buzzer and Head Coach Jeb Barber was pleased with his team's effort. "I am very proud of the way our kids fought for 40 minutes.  That never give up attitude is something a coach loves having as one of its attributes."

Both teams are 7-5 this year.  Gallaudet next plays at Salisbury University Saturday afternoon at 4 pm.
