WASHINGTON – The 2026 Gallaudet University football schedule was officially announced by second-year head coach Stefan LeFors. The schedule features four home games, five road games and a postseason neutral site game for the Bison, who begin its first season as an affiliate member of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC).
GU finished last season with a 1-8 record and 1-7 mark in its only year in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) as an affiliate member.
Gallaudet begins the season on the road against three colleges that begin with the letter 'A' in three different states. The Bison will travel to Reading, Pa., on Friday, Sept. 4, for a 6 p.m. night game at Albright College. This will be the third straight year that these two teams begin their seasons against each other. The next weekend, Gallaudet will travel out to Indiana to face Anderson University at noon. The Bison will then venture south to Danville, Va., to take on Averett University on Sept. 19. GU will close out the month of September with a second straight game against an ODAC team as the Bison welcome Roanoke College to Hotchkiss Field on Sept. 26 for the home opener.
The Bison will have a much needed bye week to begin the month of October before a trip north to Franklin, Mass., to face Dean College a former foe in the now-defunct Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) on Oct. 10. GU returns home for three straight home games against club teams. The Bison will host Coppin State University for homecoming on Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. Gallaudet will host Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology on Oct. 24 and George Mason University on Oct. 31 where the Bison will honor their graduating seniors.
Gallaudet will travel to Pennsylvania on Nov. 7 for a road game at Keystone College, also a former ECFC member, to conclude the regular-season schedule.
The Bison will check off a fifth state in 2026 when Gallaudet participates in the SCAC Football Championship Weekend in historic War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Ark. GU will be paired against a SCAC team based on the Bison's NPI ranking as calculated by the NCAA.
