WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Gallaudet University women's volleyball team returned to the win column Friday night with an impressive offensive performance as the Bison defeated Lycoming College in four sets at Lamade Gymnasium.
Gallaudet (8-6) won the first two sets by identical 25-16 scores before Lycoming (3-13) extended the match with a 24-26 third-set victory. The Bison responded emphatically in the fourth set with a 25-10 win to close out the non-conference match, 3-1.
The Bison hit .383 as a team with 56 kills and only 12 attack errors on 115 attempts. Gallaudet hit above .300 in all four sets and saved its best offensive performance for last, when the Bison put down 14 kills with only two errors on 21 attempts to hit .571 in the fourth set.

Brielle Worley (Amarillo, Texas) led the way with 22 kills and did not commit an attack error on 39 swings for a .564 hitting percentage. Worley added three service aces, five digs and four blocks (one solo) to finish with a match-high 27.5 points.

Jada Zarembka (Riverside, Calif.) recorded a double-double with 17 kills and 10 digs while hitting .343. Graduate student opposite
Bri Eilderts (Omaha, Neb.) reached double figures with season-high 10 kills on 15 attempts and hit .533. First-year setter
Gracie Gloster (Clark, N.J.) passed out 43 assists, while first-year libero
Sirrah Wilding (Santa Fe, N.M.) made a career and team-high 13 digs.
Gallaudet controlled the opening two sets before the Warriors battled back in a tightly contested third frame that featured 11 ties and three lead changes. Lycoming prevailed, 24-26, but the Bison quickly erased any thoughts of a fifth set. GU raced through the fourth set, 25-10, behind its .571 hitting percentage and four service aces.
Lycoming sophomore outside hitter Kamryn Skeith led Lycoming with eight kills, hit .375 and served up four aces. Fellow sophomore outside hitters Emi Wenger and Charlene Petreshock added seven kills apiece for the Warriors. The Warriors finished the match with 37 kills and hit .138.
BISON TRACKS
- Worley, Zarembka and Eilderts combined for 49 of Gallaudet's 56 kills and hit .472 as a trio (49 kills, seven errors, 89 attempts).
- Gallaudet's .383 hitting percentage was its second-best mark of the season behind a .413 performance at Sweet Briar on Sept. 12.
- Worley's 22-kill performance marked the fifth time in her three seasons at Gallaudet that she has finished a match without an attack error.
- Zarembka recorded her 12th straight match with at least one block and tallied her fourth double-double of the season.
- Sophomore middle hitter Kayla Debrow (Jacksonville, Fla.) increased her consecutive block streak to 11 matches.
- Gloster matched her second-highest assists mark (43) this season.
- GU's victory ended a six-game losing streak.
