BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Gallaudet's men indoor track and field traveled down to Bridgewater (Va.) College to participate in Shane Stevens Winter Invitational.
Junior
Andrae' Green (Washington, D.C.) took third place in the triple jump with a top leap of 12.76 meters (41' 10.25 feet).
Junior thrower
Navar Harris (Charleston, W.Va.) placed seventh in the shot put event with a top throw of 12.92 meters (42 feet, 4.50 inches).
Junior thrower
Andrew Suarez (Fairview, Texas) placed eighth in the weight throw with a top toss of 13.08 meters (42 feet, 10.75 inches). Suarez also placed 17th in shot put with a top toss of 11.02 meters (36 feet, 1.75 inches).
First year
Jason Alford (Dayton, Ohio) ran in the 60-meter dash and placed 21st with a time of 8.00.
Sophomore
Joe Bryan (Liberty, Mo.) ran in the 400-meter dash and placed 25th with a time of 57.64 and finished 37th place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.20 seconds.
Senior
Walter Douglas (Sanford, Fla.) participated in the 200-meter dash and placed 35th overall with a time of 25.02 seconds.
First year
Mohamed Elsheikh (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) took 29th place in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:49.05.
UP NEXT
Gallaudet will rest for two weeks before participating in the Frank Colden Invitational, hosted by Ursinus College, on Saturday, Feb. 7, in Collegeville, Pa.
