WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University women's volleyball team picked up a quick and clean 3-0 victory over Goucher College here Wednesday night on Padden Court in the Field House. GU recorded the 25-7, 25-5, 25-13 sweep in just over an hour.
Gallaudet (9-5) tallied a season-high hitting percentages (.395) with 36 kills on 76 swings and only six errors.
Senior outside hitter
Citrine Lummer (Frederick, Md.), junior outside hitter
Brielle Worley (Amarillo, Texas) and junior middle hitter
Jada Zarembka (Riverside, Calif.) posted a match-high nine kills each. Lummer made 14 digs and added three blocks. Worley served three service aces and made seven digs. Senior setter
Ella Gamble (Cullowhee, N.C.) passed out 29 assists and served two aces. First year
Angelique Quinonez (Santa Fe, N.M.) posted a career-high three aces.
The Bison finished with 51 digs, 12 aces and seven blocks in the three-set match.
Three first years
Mattea King (Capitol Heights, Md.),
Faith Kirlis (Bridgewater, Mass.) and
Gianna Wheeler (Carmel, Ind.) made their collegiate debut in the third set. Wheeler finished the night with two kills and one dig.
Goucher (5-7) was led by first-year outside hitter Juliana Stoneberg's five kills and sophomore defensive specialist Madi Kraemeri's 10 digs.

GU will travel to Chambersburg, Pa., this Saturday, Sept. 27, to take on Wilson College (0-12) for the first United East conference match of the season at 1 p.m. The Bison will also face Hollins University (6-8) during the Saturday tri-match in a non-conference contest that starts at 3 p.m.
