MEDIA, Pa. – The Gallaudet University women's cross country team got a sneak peek of the 2025 United East championship course here Friday evening as the Bison participated in the United East Preview meet hosted by Penn State-Brandywine.
Cairn University junior Clarisse Hayden won the 6K race in 24 minutes and 48.72 seconds on a hilly and technical course.

Olivia Armstrong (Rotterdam, N.Y.) was the first Gallaudet runner to cross the finish line in 62nd place with a time of 42:57.71.

Jala Furdge (Brandon, Miss.) was the other Bison in the race as she placed 69th with a time of 45:53.69.
Lancaster Bible College won the team competition with a team score of 54 points, which is tallied by the placement of your first five runners to complete the competition. The Chargers edged out the Seahawks from St. Mary's College of Maryland, who placed second with 60 team points. Cairn was third (93 team points), Penn State Harrisburg was fourth (105) and Penn College was fifth (127) to round out the top five. There were 10 schools that posted a team score, Gallaudet was not one of them as three schools had four or less runners.

Gallaudet will head back to the state of Pennsylvania next weekend to run in the Abington Invitational hosted by Penn St.-Abington on Saturday, Sept. 20.
