Gallaudet picks up eight United East Men's Indoor Track and Field all-conference honors

LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East Conference released its 2025 Men's Indoor Track and Field All-Conference teams and major awards.

Gallaudet University brought home eight all-conference honors with two Bison landing on the first team, two on the second team and four third team honors.

All-conference honors, in the form of medals (gold, silver, bronze), were given to the top three finishers at the 2025 United East Indoor Track and Field Championships held at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Center in Landover, Md., hosted by the United East on February 28.

Sophomore Andrew Bibbs (Columbia, S.C.) won the high jump and senior Walter Douglas (Sanford, Fla.) took first in the long jump to deliver GU its two gold medals.

Junior Enow Otto Jr. (Silver Spring, Md.) finished right behind Douglas in the long jump in second place. Gallaudet's other all-conference second team honor came from sophomore Navar Harris (Charleston, W.Va.) in the shot put.

GU's third team honorees include sophomore Andrae' Green (Washington, D.C.) in the 400-meter dash, sophomore Sincere Vazquez (Hollywood, Fla.) in the 800-meter run, sophomore Andrew Suarez (Fairview, Texas) in the weight throw and the Bison 4x400 meter relay team of Douglas, Vazquez, Green and sophomore Gabe Cadete (Nashua, N.H.).

The Bison finished in fourth place out of five teams with 74 team points.

St. Mary's (Md.) College won its first United East conference championship as the Seahawks earned points in 13 of the 16 events to finish the meet with 181 team points. Lancaster Bible College's David Helms took home the Track Athlete of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Penn St.-Harrisburg earned two major awards as Jonathon Luo was picked as Field Athlete of the Year and his coach, Ryan Hart, brought home Coach of the Year honors.
