COLLEGEVILLE, Pa.– The Gallaudet men's indoor track and field team traveled up to Ursinus College to participate in Frank Colden Invitational here Saturday.
Sophomore jumper
Andrew Bibbs (Columbia, S.C.) placed second in the high jump after he cleared 1.75 meters (5 feet, 8.75 inches) out of 13 athletes. Bibbs also participated in the triple jump and long jump as he went ninth overall (11.66 meters) and 17th place (5.52 meters) respectively.
Senior
Walter Douglas (Sanford, Fla.) took fourth in the long jump as he jumped 5.52 meters (21 feet, 1.50 inches). Douglas also ran in the 60-meter dash preliminary as he finished 24th overall with a time of 7.48 seconds.
Sophomore
Andrae' Green (Washington, D.C.) was GU's top finisher in the 200- and 400-meter dash events. Green placed 24th in the 200-meter dash (24.52) and 23rd in the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.38 seconds.
Green also participated in the 4x400 meter relay along with sophomore
Gabe Cadete (Nashua, N.H.),
Sincere Vazquez (Hollywood, Fla.) and first-year
Joe Bryan (Liberty, Mo.) as they placed eight overall with a time of 3:51.13.
Sophomore thrower
Navar Harris (Charleston, W.Va.) finished eight in the shot put with a top toss of 13.21 meters (43 feet, 4.25 inches).
UP NEXT
Gallaudet will travel down to Salem, Va., to participate in the Joe LaRocco Invitational hosted by Roanoke College next Saturday, Feb. 15.
