WINCHESTER, Va. – The Gallaudet men's indoor track and field headed west to Shenandoah University to participate in the Holiday Kickoff Open here Sunday.
Junior thrower
Navar Harris (Charleston, W.Va.) impressed with a career-best top throw of 13.71 meters to earn second place in the shot put out of 18 athletes.
First year
Kamr McLean (East Orange, N.J.) finished second in the high jump with a top mark of 1.83 meters, improving on his previous meet's clearance of 1.80 meters.
Gallaudet placed ninth out of 10 teams with 15 points. Dickinson College won the meet with 170 points followed by Eastern Mennonite University (80).
First year
Jason Alford (Dayton, Ohio) ran in the 200-meter dash and placed 22nd with a time of 25.48, improving on his previous meet's time of 25.55.
Sophomore
Joe Bryan (Liberty, Mo.) participated in 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash and finished 25.78 seconds (23rd) and 1:00.40 (22th), respectively.
Sophomore thrower
Kendarrius Watkins (Fort Worth, Texas) was the second-highest Bison finisher in the shot put and placed ninth overall with a top throw of 10.52 meters.
First year thrower
Ibukunoluwa Oluoni (Dallas, Texas) competed in both throwing events, finished 10th in the weight throw with a top mark of 9.98 meters and 13th in the shot put with a 9.36 meter toss.
UP NEXT
GU is off for the rest of this semester and will return in January 2026. The next meet will be the Cardinal Track & Field Classic on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. at Landover, Md hosted by the Catholic University of America.
