SALISBURY, Md. – The Gallaudet University women's basketball team made a trip to Maryland's Eastern Shore on Saturday to face Salisbury University in a non-conference game. The Bison lost to the Sea Gulls, 114-40, in Maggs Physical Activities Center.
Gallaudet (1-5) was led offensively by first-year forward
Natalie Greene (Fresno, Texas) and sophomore
Mackenzie Schirg (Factoryville, Pa.) who scored 15 and 12 points, respectively. Grant tallied a double-double with 12 rebounds.
Salisbury (3-2) held Gallaudet to single digits in each quarter after the Sea Gulls took a 30-16 lead after the opening quarter. SU led 62-23 at the half.
The Sea Gulls were led by Nicole Miller's 23-point game in 15 minutes played while Kisa Lilly chipped in 20 points off the bench. Salisbury made 11 3-pointers and played 13 players in the game.

- Schirg was the second leading rebounder for the Bison with seven
- Sophomore Sophia Wascher (Noblesville, Ind.) and Schirg led the team with two steals each
- First-year guard Tiana Starayev (Noblesville, Ind.) passed out two assists
- In three of the past four games, Gallaudet has scored exactly 40 points
- The last time GU surrendered 100 points in a game was Nov. 15, 2014, when the Bison lost, 117-43, at Winthrop University

Gallaudet returns home and will host St. Mary's College of Maryland (1-2) in a non-conference game that will tip at 6 p.m. on Padden Court in the Field House. This will be GU's first game facing the Seahawks since last season's dramatic last-second United East championship game victory in overtime for the Bison last March.
