FREDERICK, Md. – The Gallaudet University men's soccer team was shut out by Hood College, 10-0, here Saturday afternoon in a non-conference game.
Hood (3-4) scored three times in the first half thanks to two goals by senior Quinton Brown and the Blazers added seven goals in the second half. The Blazers outshot the Bison, 37-1, and also took 10 corner kicks compared to one for GU.
First year
Jeremy Novas-Duran (Salem, Mass.) made his season debut and recorded the only shot for the Bison.
Gallaudet (1-5)'s sophomore
Biruk Tesfaye (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) got his first start as goalie and made 11 saves which are his career best.
Hood had nine different players score a goal.

Gallaudet will regroup and drive south to Saunton, Va., to take on Mary Baldwin (0-5-1) this Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 4 p.m. in a non-conference game.
