WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University women's volleyball team continues to exorcise the demons of their past this season. The Bison cleansed themselves of an 11-game losing streak to the hands of the Marymount (Va.) University Saints here Wednesday night in the home opener with a 3-1 win.

The Bison jumped out and took the first set, 25-19, before an exuberant crowd of 305.
Marymount (1-7) regrouped and tied the match at 1-1 after it took the second set, 17-25.
GU won going away in the third and fourth sets with wins of 25-9 and 25-16, respectively.

The UT at Tyler transfer added eight digs, two aces and one block in her GU home debut. Lummer finished with 12 kills on 25 swings and only three errors (.360) and matched Worley with eight digs.
