WASHINGTON - Gallaudet University men's cross country head coach
Byron Moore, who is entering his 10th season leading the program, announced the upcoming 2024 schedule. The men's cross country schedule features six regular-season meets and the United East Conference championship meet at the start of November.
Gallaudet opens its 2024 season with a trip across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to Salisbury, Md., for the Salisbury University Fall Classic on Saturday, August 31, hosted by the Sea Gulls. This will be the first of two trips to WinterPlace Park for the buff and blue this season.
The Bison will next travel down to Hollywood, Md., to participate in Seahawk Classic hosted by St. Mary's College of Maryland on Saturday, Sept. 14. The Bison will get a sneak peek at Greenwell State Park, the course that will host the 2024 United East Conference Championships in November. GU will travel up to Lancaster, Pa., to participate in the Charger Invitational on Friday, Sept. 20, hosted by Lancaster Bible College. The following week they head back to Salisbury, Md., to run in the Don Cathcart Invitational (Sept. 28) to wrap up the month of September.
The buff and blue start October by traveling down to Sweet Briar, Va., to run at the Sweet Briar Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 5. Gallaudet's final regular-season meet before the conference championship will be on Friday, Oct. 11, in Towson, Md., at the Coach Caslin Classic hosted by Goucher College.
The Bison will have several weeks to rest before the United East championship takes place on Saturday, Nov. 2, in Hollywood, Md., at Greenwell State Park.
If Gallaudet qualifies any runners for the NCAA South Regional it will be on Saturday Nov. 16, in Clinton, Miss., hosted by Millsaps College.
