GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – It was a great day to be a Gallaudet University Bison as the women's basketball team defeated Gwynedd Mercy University, 84-60, here Tuesday in the Griffin Complex.
Gallaudet (4-8) shot a season best 56.9 percent from the field (37-for-65) and passed out a season-high 26 assists in the non-conference win. The 84 points scored are a new high mark for the buff and blue during the 2024-25 campaign.
The Bison pulled away from Gwynedd Mercy (4-8) in the second half, which included a huge fourth quarter where GU outscored the Griffins, 21-9.
Sophomore guard
Cam Lexow (Abington, Pa.) led the Bison with 19 points, nine rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals. Senior guard
Raj Guettler (Frederick, Md.) finished with 14 points, eight assists, six rebounds and two steals.
First-year guard/forward
Mackenzie Schirg (Factoryville, Pa.) netted a career-high 13 points off the bench and senior center
Alexis Roberts (Newton, Miss.) chipped in 12 points, seven rebounds and two steals.
The fifth Bison to reach double digits was junior center
Hannah Puent (Indianapolis, Ind.) with a season-high 10 rebounds and seven points.
Gwynedd Mercy was led by Alyssa Cresto's 13-point game and Alexis Eagan's double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.

- Senior guard Claire Ruiz-Tucker (Middletown, Md.) recorded six points, six assists and four rebounds
- Senior guard Crystal Salit (Boyds, Md.) finished with seven points
- First-year forward Sophia Wascher (Noblesville, Ind.) netted a career-high six points
