WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University men's basketball program will host a special tribute evening for the late John C. Perry on Tuesday, Nov. 26, in the Field House as the Bison play host to St. Mary's College of Maryland.

John Charles "Bird" Perry, '96, longtime assistant coach and former men's basketball player passed on January 15, 2019. The program held a memorial service for Coach Perry on January 27, 2019, and has hosted various basketball camps and clinics in Coach Perry's name.

This new tribute involves the living members of Coach Perry's family. A special dedication for a new bench and plaque will be part of the festivities. The Bison men's basketball team will wear a special patch during the game and the Perry family will be recognized at halftime.
