LANCASTER, Pa. - The Gallaudet University men's basketball team dropped a 93-65 United East conference game to Lancaster Bible College on the road Wednesday evening in the Horst Athletic Center. The Chargers set the tone from the outside as they made 13 3-pointers and shot 50 percent from the field.
Gallaudet (2-17, 1-6 United East) was able to stay close to the Chargers only down five points, 15-10, just seven minutes in. Lancaster Bible College (11-9, 5-3 United East) responded with a 21-3 run and finished the first half up 54-31.Â
The second half was much closer for the Bison as they limited the Chargers to only 39 points while GU poured in 34 before time ran out.
The Bison had four players in double figures led by
Blessed Mbogo (Silver Spring, Md.) who scored 23 points and seven rebounds. Senior guard
Rory Lewis (Frederick, Md.) added 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Junior forward
Brandon Chung (Kahului, Hawaii) scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds and added two steals. Junior center
Alex Antsiferov (North Charleston, S.C.) added 10 points and grabbed three rebounds off the bench.Â
The Chargers were led by guard Grant Sareyka as he finished with a game-high 26 points, three rebounds, three assists and swished five from 3-point range.
