Otto Jr. nets a career-high to lead Bison at Lehman College

BRONX, N.Y. – The Gallaudet University men's basketball team dropped a 80-55 non-conference game to Lehman College here Saturday on the road in the APEX.
 
Gallaudet (2-18) led for the last seven minutes in the first half to take a 33-30 lead into halftime. The Bison broke the 17-17 tie with a 12-3 run set up by junior forward Enow Otto Jr. (Waldorf, Md.) scored six points in a row to take a 29-20 lead at the 4:12 mark.

The Lightning (12-8) jumped out hot in the second half with a 30-7 run. Lehman used hot 3-point shooting by making six of their 10 attempts to control the second half. GU was outscored 50-22 the final 20 minutes of play.

Otto Jr. scored a career-high 14 points and grabbed five rebounds off the bench. Junior forward Blessed Mbogo (Silver Spring, Md.) added eight points and five boards while first-year guard Jaheim Crayton (Buford, Ga.) tallied eight points and passed out two assists off the bench.
 
The Lightning were led by center DeAundre Manuel as he finished with a game-high 25 points, 16 rebounds and two steals.

UP NEXT
Gallaudet (1-6 United East) will regroup and return home to host Penn St.-Harrisburg (18-3, 8-0 United East) at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30, in the Field House. The two teams met on Dec. 2 in Middletown, Pa., as the Nittany Lions won 86-56.
