WINCHESTER, Va. - It was a clean sweep for the Gallaudet University women's volleyball team this weekend at the Shenandoah Invitational. The Bison swept their Saturday competition with straight set wins over Mary Baldwin University and the host Hornets from Shenandoah University.
Gallaudet (7-2) won its final 10 sets of 14 played this weekend at the James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletics & Events Center.Â
Senior
Natalie Clayberg (Pella, Iowa) finished Saturday with 17 kills, 21 digs, three aces and two blocks while junior
Cassidy Perry (Frederick, Md.) recorded 17 kills and seven blocks and sophomore
Citrine Lummer (Frederick, Md.) tallied 15 kills. Junior setter
Ella Gamble (Cullowhee, N.C.) passed out 62 assists (31 in each match) and served up five aces in six sets played.Â
The Bison won the first match of the day with a 25-18, 25-9, 25-12 win over Mary Baldwin (1-7) followed by a 25-20, 25-16, 25-13 over the Hornets (4-4).
