WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University women's soccer team dominated its Wednesday night home game against overmatched Trinity Washington University under the lights at Hotchkiss Field as the Bison won 7-0.
Gallaudet (3-2) has now won three games in a row where it has outscored opponents 19-1.
Senior
Courtney Gentzke (Honeoye, N.Y.) had a career game with a four-goal performance in the first half as the buff and gold led 4-0 at the half.
In the second half, junior
Reza Mosher (Danville, Calif.) scored a goal off an assist from junior
Dekisha Smith (Hutchins, Texas) in the 50th minute. Mosher (one goal, four assists) assisted the final two goals for the Bison in the 65th and 69th minutes. Mosher assisted sophomore
Fernanda Forero-Tarquino (Boston, Mass.) and Smith (one goal, two assists).
Gallaudet held Trinity to no shots as junior goalie
Lilian Nelson (Minneapolis, Minn.) recorded her second shutout of the season.
Trinity goalie Net made several impressive saves as the Tigers netminder finished with 14 saves out of 21 shots on goals (31 total shots for the Bison). GU also held an 11-1 edge in corner kicks.
The game was called in the 70th minute once the game was official since the Tigers played with only seven players on the pitch.Â
