KILLINGWORTH, Conn. – The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) released its 2023 preseason football poll and the Gallaudet University football team was picked to finish first overall out of five teams, as voted by the conference head coaches.
GU, the reigning conference champion, was selected No. 1 as it received two first-place votes and 18 points. Anna Maria College was picked second with 16 points and one first-place vote. Alfred State College and Vermont State University Castleton (VTSU Castleton) were tied for third with 15 points each. The Spartans from Castleton had one first-place vote. Dean College checks in at No. 5 with 11 points and one first-place vote. All but one team received at least one first-place vote in a very wide-open conference.
Gallaudet begins the 2023 season at Keystone College on Saturday, Sept. 2, at noon.
