Preston Kelly (Indianapolis, Ind.) matched his career-high with 31 points scored here Friday night to lead the Gallaudet University men's basketball team against Wells College in a United East Conference game.
The Express got the best of the Bison and won, 80-49, to clinch the No. 4 seed in the upcoming conference tournament next week.
Kelly scored 19 of his 31 points in the second half as he made five field goals, including two 3-pointers, and went to the free-throw line 11 times. Kelly added six rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Gallaudet (1-23, 0-15 United East) scored the game's first four points and held the lead for the opening minutes before Wells (14-10, 9-6 United East) went on a run and took the lead from the Bison. The Express led 35-19 at the half.
Junior forward
Lance Wood (Fishers, Ind.) led the Bison with eight rebounds while sophomore forward
Brandon Chung (Kahului, Hawaii) ripped down seven boards.
Wells was led by Billy McCrae's 12 points and three rebounds in the win.

Gallaudet will complete the 2022-23 schedule tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 18) at 3 p.m. against SUNY Morrisville (11-13, 7-8 United East) in the Field House on Senior Day.
