BALTIMORE - The Gallaudet University women's basketball team got back in the win column here Saturday with a 58-55 win over Notre Dame of Maryland University in a non-conference game.
First-year guard
Cam Lexow (Abington, Pa.) played all 40 minutes and finished with a team-high 17 points to go with six rebounds, five steals, four assists and one block. Lexow made 8 of 18 shots from the floor. Senior
Cassidy Perry (Frederick, Md.), fresh off the conclusion of the Bison women's volleyball season, made her debut with 16 points scored off the bench. Junior
Claire Ruiz-Tucker (Frederick, Md.) added nine points, three rebounds and two assists.
Notre Dame was led by Amani Watts, who finished with a game-high 19 points on 8 of 16 shooting from the field and completed the double-double with 13 rebounds.Â
GU led 25-22 at the half as the two teams battled back-and-forth. The game featured 10 lead changes and six occasions when the score was tied.Â
The Bison scored 34 of its 58 points in the paint as the buff and blue finished the game with 31 rebounds.Â
