TOWSON, Md. - A treacherous third quarter doomed the Gallaudet University women's basketball team here Saturday against Randolph-Macon College as the Yellow Jackets won, 77-34, on the second day of the Renie Amoss Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Goucher College.
Gallaudet (1-1) was outscored 36-6 in the third quarter as Randolph-Macon (2-1) made 15 of 19 shots from the field including 6 of 8 from behind the 3-point line. The Bison entered halftime only down 16 points but trailed by 46 as the teams began the fourth quarter. GU outscored R-MC by three, 12-9, in the final quarter of play in the Decker Sports & Recreation Center.

Claire Ruiz-Tucker (Frederick, Md.) led Gallaudet with 14 points while first-year guard
Cam Lexow (Abington, Pa.) scored 10 points, grabbed seven rebounds, made four steals, passed out two assists and tallied one block. GU had four other players score at least one basket in the loss.
GU shot 23.7 percent from the field (14-for-59) and was limited to one 3-pointer made (1-for-11). The Bison scored 16 points in the paint and nine points off turnovers.
The Yellow Jackets had four players in double figures led by Juliana Park, who led all-scorers with 14 points in the win.

GU will have a week to regroup as the Bison will next play at Notre Dame of Maryland University (1-2) next Saturday, Nov. 18, at 1 p.m.
