Bison close out conference schedule on Friday night

WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University men's soccer team dropped a 9-0 United East Conference – Volt Division game to Penn College of Technology here on a soggy and mild Friday evening at Hotchkiss Field.

Gallaudet (0-13, 0-6 United East) played hard against Penn College (7-5-3, 2-2-1 United East) as the Bison got three shots off in the first half and four in the game. GU had two scoring opportunities denied by the Wildcats defense.

Sophomore goalie Vershon Carter (Chicago, Ill.) made six saves in 90 minutes played in net for the Bison.

The Widcats built a 5-0 first half lead and added four goals in the second half. Penn College went deep into its bench as 31 players saw minutes on the pitch.

This was the final conference regular-season game for the Bison, who are eliminated from postseason play.
