ARLINGTON, Va. - The Gallaudet University men's soccer team hung around with Marymount (Va.) University here Monday night under the lights at Long Bridge Park as the Saints won the non-conference game 5-0.
Gallaudet (0-14) kept things scoreless for the first 14 minutes before Marymount (9-6-2) got on the scoreboard. The Saints added a second goal in the 26th minute but that is where things would stand as the teams went into halftime.
Immediately out of the half, Marymount scored a third goal to increase its lead to 3-0. Leonardo Torres netted his second goal in the game at the 54th minute and completed the hat trick in the 61st minute.Â

Biruk Tesfaye (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) made eight saves in goal during his collegiate debut.Â

Mamboh Smith (Silver Spring, Md.) had GU's only shot on goal, just before halftime, as Saints goalie Brian Cruz made the stop.Â
Marymount went deep into its bench as 33 players played in the game.

Gallaudet's 2023 season will come to a close this Friday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. with a non-conference game against Christendom College (6-7-2) at Hotchkiss Field.
