GU shuts out Penn St.-Abington in the second half

ABINGTON, Pa. – The Gallaudet University women's soccer team dropped a 7-0 game to Penn St.-Abington here Saturday in a United East Conference – Volt Division game.

Gallaudet (4-8, 1-5 United East) only got one shot off against a pesky Penn St.-Abington (2-10, 2-4 United East) squad that forced the Bison to play defense for much of the game. GU's seven players gutted it out for 70 minutes against the Nittany Lions.

Junior goalie Lilian Nelson (Minneapolis, Minn.) gave it her all in net where she made 12 saves and kept the Nittany Lions scoreless in the second half.
