WASHINGTON - Gallaudet University surrendered a pair of early goals in each half here Wednesday afternoon at Hotchkiss Field as Regent University rolled to an 8-0 non-conference victory in the 70-minute game.
Gallaudet (4-7) fell behind quickly when Regent (4-4-4) scored two goals in the opening minute of play. The Royals added one more goal before the half as they led, 3-0.
When the second half begun the Royals duplicated what they did in the first half with two goals in the opening minutes. The Royals tacked on three more goals en route to the eight-goal win.
Junior goalie
Lilian Nelson (Minneapolis, Minn.) made 11 saves and received some help from the defense as Bison defenders combined to make three team saves.Â
GU welcomed back junior
Ashley Harlicker (Shenandoah, Texas), who made her first appearance in a month. Harlicker had one of GU's two shots in the game.
Regent forward Olivia Charles scored three second-half goals and added one assist. Charles now has 13 goals this season.Â
