HONOLULU, Hawaii – Aloha from Hawai'i as the Gallaudet University men's basketball team is set to make their Aloha State debut this weekend at the Hoops in Hawaii Holiday Classic presented by Outrigger Resorts and Hotels. The Bison will play two non-conference Division III games at the Hawaii Convention Center this Sunday and Monday.
The Hawai'i trip is a homecoming for two Bison players in sophomore
Brandon Chung (Kahului, Hawaii) and
Malosi Viena (Waipahu, Hawaii).
Gallaudet (1-7) begins the Hawaii Holiday Classic against Principia College from Elsah, Ill., on Sunday, Dec. 18, at 4 p.m. (Eastern)/11 a.m. (Local). The Panthers (7-2) are members of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC).
The Bison will face Oglethorpe University from Brookhaven, Ga., on Monday, Dec. 19, at 4 p.m. (Eastern)/11 a.m. (Local). The Stormy Petrels (3-5) are members of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA).
On Saturday, Principia defeated Oglethorpe by 10 points, 78-68.
