Box Score WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University men's basketball team dropped a 74-56 United East Conference game to Wells College here Friday evening in the Field House.
Gallaudet (1-10, 1-3 United East) fell behind early as the visiting Express stormed out to an 11-2 lead minutes into the game. Wells was hot from 3-point range as it made three quick ones to take the lead. The Bison clawed its way out of the early deficit and got to within five points, 24-19, with 5:11 left before halftime. The two teams stayed close for the final minutes before Wells took a 34-25 lead into intermission.
Wells (8-5, 2-2 United East) led by as much as 18 points midway through the second half en route to its eighth win of the season.
Sophomore guard Rory Lewis (Frederick, Md.) scored a game-high 31 points as he made 9 of 18 shots from the field, which included three 3-pointers. Lewis made 10 of 14 free throws and grabbed five rebounds and made two steals. Sophomore forward Lance Wood (Fishers, Ind.) finished with nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds to go with four assists, one block and one steal.
The Express had four players in double figures led by guard Dylan Perry's 22-point game as he made five 3-pointers. Guard Ransel Rodriguez recorded the game's only double-double with 11 points and 11 boards and nearly got a triple-double with nine assists and two steals. Wells shot 47.8 percent from 3-point range as it made 11 of 23 shots.

- Wells outscored Gallaudet 40-31 in the second half
