Box Score HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Gallaudet University women's volleyball picked up a hard-fought victory Wednesday night as the visiting Bison defeated Eastern Mennonite University, 3-1, in the Yoder Arena.
Gallaudet (2-3) took the first two sets 25-18 and 25-23 before the host Royals won 22-25 in the third set. GU put the match away in the fourth set with a 25-22 win.
Junior outside hitter Adele Daniels (Austin, Texas) had a big game for the Bison as she recorded a career-high 22 kills, 12 digs, five services aces and three blocks (one solo). Freshman setter Emma Giuntoli (Austin, Texas) passed out a career-high 43 assists, 11 digs and two aces.
Senior libero Raelyn Fuechtmann (South St. Paul, Minn.) made a match-high 22 digs and two service aces while junior outside hitter Tessa Lewis (Frederick, Md.) tallied 13 kills.
EMU (2-2) was led by Amy Goodman's nine kills and four service aces and Hannah Johnson's eight kills, 20 digs and three service aces.

Gallaudet will travel to York, Pa., on Friday to participate in the York College Spartan Invitational. The Bison will go up against New York University and No. 16 Johns Hopkins University on Friday, Sept. 7, at 4 and 6 p.m., respectively.
