Box Score 2 READING, Pa. – Gallaudet University jumped back into the win column Friday evening as the women's volleyball team picked up two straight set wins in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) South Divisional weekend hosted by Penn St.-Berks. Gallaudet (12-8, 4-1 NEAC) defeated St. Elizabeth, 25-12, 25-7, 25-9, and followed that with a win over Lancaster Bible, 25-13, 25-10, 25-11.
In two matches, junior outside hitter Kali Frowick (Norfolk, Neb.) tallied 20 kills and 21 digs while senior opposite hitter Lane Peters (Phoenix, Ariz.) recorded 17 kills and 15 digs. Junior opposite hitter Alison O'Hara (Colorado Springs, Colo.) knocked down 14 kills and one block solo and one block assist. Junior middle hitter Julia Wolff (Belleville, Ontario) added 12 kills between the two conference foes.
The Bison recorded nine service aces against St. Elizabeth and eight against Lancaster Bible. Sophomore setter TraciAnn Hoglind (Fishers, Ind.) had nine service aces between the two matches and 56 assists.
Gallaudet will go up against Penn St.-Berks and Penn St.-Abington tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 5) at 10 a.m. and noon, respectively.
