WASHINGTON, D.C. – A close women's basketball game between Gallaudet University and SUNYIT changed with seven minutes left before halftime Sunday as the visiting Wildcats went on a 13-0 run to take the lead for good en route to a 75-54 victory at the Field House.

The Bison (2-9) dropped their ninth straight game and fourth consecutive game in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play. SUNYIT improved its record to 3-5 overall and 1-1 in NEAC games.

Senior forward Lindsay Stergio (Montville, Conn.) scored a game-high 25 points to go with 10 rebounds as she played the entire game. This is Stergio's second double-double as a Bison. Junior guard Stephanie Weiss (Wellington, Fla.) scored a season-high 14 points as she made three 3-pointers in her second start of the year.

The Wildcats had three players reach double figures led by guard Lyndsey Brognano's 17 points, six assists and five rebounds. Kayla McNeil and Abbey Hanahan added 12 and 10 points, respectively, and both grabbed eight rebounds.

Gallaudet wraps up its three-game homestand on Wednesday night with a conference game against Lancaster Bible College. The game was originally scheduled for 5 p.m. but has been pushed back to 6 p.m.
