Box Score TOWSON, Md. – The Gallaudet University women's volleyball team hit the road on Wednesday and made the short trip north to face Goucher College in a non-conference match. The Bison got back in the win column with a straight set 3-0 victory, 25-22, 25-10, 25-23, over the Gophers (4-5).
Gallaudet (6-3) snapped a three-game losing skid as freshman Kali Frowick (Norfolk, Neb.) led the team with 13 kills and 10 digs while fellow freshman setter Sarah Tubert (Burbank, Calif.) passed out a match-high 26 assists and made six digs, four kills and two blocks. Junior outside hitter Ann Whited (Fishers, Ind.) added six kills, six digs and three service aces while junior middle hitter Jessica Israel (Frederick, Md.) led the team with five blocks and junior Mari Klassen (White Rock, British Columbia) made a team-high 16 digs. Senior Paige Johnson (North Richland Hills, Texas) contributed five kills, eight digs and three service aces in the win.
The Bison will begin North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play as they prepare to defend their championship from a year ago. GU will travel to New York to face SUNYIT and Morrisville State on Saturday, September 17 for two matches at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively.
