Box Score DOVER, Del. - The Gallaudet University men's
soccer team dropped a 10-0 decision to Wesley College on Wednesday
night in a Capital Athletic Conference road game in Delaware's
capital city.
Gallaudet (0-9, 0-3 CAC) was limited to one shot as junior
Zane Nochese (Pittsburgh, Pa.) unleashed a shot on
Wesley's goal over 30 minutes into the first half. Nochese is
leading the squad in shots this season with eight. He has also
scored Gallaudet's two goals in '09.
Sophomore goalie Poloko Qobose (Gaborone,
Botswana) stopped 13 of the 23 shots on goal the Wolverines took in
the loss for the Bison. Qobose's counterpart Tom Mikulski (one
save) earned the victory as he played the first half. Wesley used
two different goalies in the second half.
The Wolverines (5-3, 2-0 CAC) had nine different goal scorers in
the game. Wesley scored five goals in each half. Omega Dabale led
the Wolverines with two goals. Wesley outshot Gallaudet 34-1 and
took five corner kicks to the one by the Bison.
GU returns home and will host Southern Virginia University on
Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. in a non-conference game.
