ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.--Zane Noschese and Justin Lathus
picked up hits for the Bison as they dropped a road conference game
to St. Mary's in a 14-0 decision.
The Bison went through four pitchers on the mound, with Noschese
and John Moore,
Jr. picking up strikeouts. Moore, Jr. had three to Noschese's
two. Warren
Keller and Ryan
Lentz each put in an inning of work following Moore, Jr.
Lathus's hit came in the top of the third, when he singled to
center field. Bruce Saperstein
pinch-ran for Lathus and was picked off while advancing to second
on a steal attempt. A.J. Williams then
struck out, while Adrian DeHoyos
grounded out to end the inning.
In the next inning, Keller grounded out, bringing Noschese to
the plate. The freshman hit a single, and advanced to second off a
bad throw. Kevin
Alley and Moore, Jr. both grounded out successively, not being
able to advance Noschese.
Gallaudet had men on base in the sixth and seventh innings off
walks and a hit-by-pitch. The Bison bats could not ignite to bring
the runners home to avert the shutout.
In overall team statistics, Lentz leads the team in RBI with 14,
paced by Alley's eight. Alley has had a perfect season thus far
with stealing bases, 16-for-16, as has Lentz (5-5). More team stats
