WASHINGTON, D.C.--Kevin Alley led the Bison bats in a 3-for-4
outing including a stolen base as the Bison fell to the University
of Mary Washington Eagles in conference play, 17-1.
Alley's hits came in the first, fifth and seventh innings.
Second baseman Warren Keller scored on a passed ball in the bottom
of the fifth to prevent a shutout. Keller went 2-for-3 at the
plate, with a strikeout in the two innings he pitched.
For the Eagles, designated hitter Alex Rossi scored three runs
to top the visitors' offensive output.
The Bison (0-3, 0-2 CAC) travel to Mary Washington for a
doubleheader on Saturday, March 1. The first pitch is set for 12:00
p.m.
