WASHINGTON, D.C. (1/17/07)--In a game in between two teams
seeking their first CAC win, both teams fought hard as the
Seahawks' sophomore 6'7 center Alex Irmer dominated the
paint with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Gallaudet junior guard Sekoe
White led the losing effort with 21 points and 5 rebounds, as they
clawed back to within one with approximately four minutes to play
only to see the game slip away as the Seahawks converted all of
their free throws down the stretch. For the Bison, promising
freshman guard Johnny Jackson turned in an 11 point, 9 rebound
effort before fouling out with 39 seconds to play. Gallaudet went 7
of 29 from beyond the arc as they were out rebounded 43-23.
Gallaudet fell to 2-12 and 0-6 in conference play. Sophomore point
guard Jon Mowl hit a buzzer beating three pointer to chip away at
the Seahawk lead as time expired, bringing the final score to
68-61.
The Bison travel to Catholic University on Saturday, January
20th to resume conference play. The ball goes up at 4:00
p.m.
