Ben Campman

Campman was officially named the Interim Head Coach for the Gallaudet Men's Volleyball Program in September 2024.

"Ben shows us all how sometimes you have to put a lot of leg work in, in order for possibilities to happen. He has inspired all students interested in the sport of volleyball over the years that the reality of having a varsity men's program has now become possible for us," said Keller. "I have no doubt that Ben, with his work ethic and passion for the sport, and Gallaudet University will set us up to begin preparing for our 2025 season coming up in the spring."

Campman arrived on Gallaudet's campus in the Fall of 2022 as a graduate assistant with the women's volleyball program. He graduated with a Masters in Public Administration in May 2024.

Campman is currently an assistant coach with the Gallaudet women's volleyball team as he begins his third year with the program.

Campman helped to organize the men's volleyball club team last year as the team played a handful of competitions.

"I am thrilled to be named the interim head coach for the men's volleyball program here at Gallaudet," said Campman. "Having been with the club team last year I've already seen how excited and passionate our players here are. The team has shown so much potential, and with programs starting to pop up at Deaf high schools all over the country, there is a great foundation for this program to grow and excel in the coming years. I cannot wait to be a part of it and hope to see all the incredible student-athletes going through this school achieve great things through this program."

The Harleysville, Pa., native attended and graduated from the University of Connecticut in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science degree. While in Storrs, Conn., Campman played on the UConn men's volleyball team from 2019-22 and served as club President. Campman spent time as a practice player with the Huskies' women's volleyball program during his four years there.

In the summer of 2023, Campman got international volleyball coaching experience as he served as a men's assistant coach with the USA Deaf Volleyball National Team.
