Collins is a dedicated and passionate football coach with a strong commitment to player development, discipline, and team culture. With 10 years of coaching experience, Coach Collins emphasizes maximizing each athlete’s potential both on and off the field. Collins served as an Intern for Gallaudet University back in 2016. Returning to the bison coaching staff in 2021, Collins has made a direct impact on the bison ground attack.
As the Run Game Coordinator, the Bison have been a top 10 rushing team in division III 3x in the last 5 years. Collins has coached The Offensive line and has contributed to all 3 of the programs conference championships (1 as a player and 2 as a Coach). Known for a high-energy coaching style and clear communication, Coach Collins builds the team's grounded foundation through preparation, toughness, and culture.
Todd Collins was a 4 year starter here for the Bison at Left Tackle and as well as various special teams from 2012-2015. Aiding the Bison Football team to their first ever Conference Championship in 2013. His hard work and dedication to Gallaudet football helped him finish his career with exceptional accolades including 2 Team MVP’s, 3 All-Conference selections, 1 Team Offensive Player of the Year and a 3rd Team All-Region Selection.
Beyond the field, Coach Collins is committed to mentoring athletes, promoting academic success, leadership, and character. Collins was nominated 2024 ECFC Assistant Coach of the Year. “Football teaches you more about life off the field than it does on the field. It’s all about the little things. Showing up on time, working hard and paying attention to details.”
