Gallaudet University

Coach Gaskins is in his third season as defensive backs coach for the Gallaudet football team. During his first season, the Bison held a record of 7-3 and followed that with a 9-2 season in 2013 when the team won its first Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) championship and made its first NCAA tournament appearance.

Gaskins attended Duquesne University where he played linebacker for the Dukes football team for two seasons. He graduated Duquesne with a bachelor’s degree in communications in 2008. He furthered his education at the University of Charleston where he received a Master of Science degree in strategic leadership in 2013.

Gaskins has two sons Nevell and Eli and resides in Hyattsville, Md.

Why Gallaudet: “Coaching here is an opportunity to be an important part of a power shift in the ECFC that could have great effects on the way Gallaudet football is perceived. I feel blessed to be a part of this program,” said Gaskins.
