Talaat enters his first season on the Gallaudet football coaching staff where he will be working with the defensive line and focusing on the defensive ends.

Talaat is the most decorated player in Gallaudet University football history as the former team captain played for the Bison from 2010-13. He became the school’s first Gagliardi Trophy finalist, given to the most outstanding football player in NCAA Division III and a finalist for the Cliff Harris Award, awarded to the top small college defensive player each year. He was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America first-team, the first Bison to receive the first-team honor, he also became the first to earn Academic All-America recognition two years in a row. He also earned a spot on the 2013 D3football.com All-American defense as an honorable mention pick. In addition, Talaat received All-ECFC defense first-team honors and was named to the D3football.com All-East region second team defense. Talaat became the first Bison to host a Pro Day on campus where he tested in front of six different NFL scouts. He was a three-time all-conference honoree and became only the third Bison football player to earn ECFC All-Academic Team honors all three years at Gallaudet.
