This is O'Donnell first season on the Bison coaching staff entering the 2017 season. He will be the team's pitching coach. He pitched for the Bison for one season in 2014 where he was named to the all-conference second team. O'Donnell was named NCBWA Division III National Pitcher of the Week on March 27, 2014 and was twice named NEAC Pitcher of the Week during that season.

He graduated from George Washington University in 2016.
