Senior Season (2013): All-ECFC Second Team Offense...senior co-captain...member of Gallaudet's first men's team sport to make a NCAA tournament appearance...helped the Bison win their first Eastern Collegiate Football Conference championship...team tied a school record nine wins in a season...set a school record with an 11-game winning streak dating back to the 2012 season...set a school record with 11 games played.
Junior Season (2012): Started 10 games for the Bison…carried the ball 48 times for 473 yards and seven touchdowns…had 208 all-purpose yards and three rushing touchdowns including an 83-yard run against Castleton St. on Oct. 27…scored two touchdown including a 52-yard run against Mount Ida on Nov. 3…he averaged 9.6 yards per rush during the season.
Sophomore Season (2011): Appeared in all 10 games for the Bison...made five starts...carried the ball 39 times for 200 yards and one touchdown...scored a rushing touchdown against Castleton State College on Oct. 29...had a 48-yard receiving touchdown against SUNY Maritime at home on Nov. 11...he averaged 5.1 yards per rush during the season.
Freshman Season (2010): Appeared in eight games for the Bison…made five starts…carried the ball 21 times for 70 yards and one touchdown.
Before Gallaudet: Attended Maryland School for the Deaf and Towson University...2007 Frederick Gazette Football Player of the Year...2008 Frederick Gazette Football All-Area First Team...2007 and 2008 Frederick News Post Football All-Area First Team...2007 and 2008 NDIAA Football First Team...2008 NDIAA Football Player of the Year...2007 Maryland All-State Second Team...2008 Maryland All-State First Team...full scholarship to play football at Towson University.
Personal: Son of Gallaudet alums Andy ('85) and Lori Bonheyo ('81)...younger brother Todd is the starting quarterback for the Bison...father Andy is athletic director at the Maryland School for the Deaf...Ryan is one of the few deaf students ever to receive a full scholarship to play Division I football...favorite food is steak...enjoys watching Family Guy...favorite athlete is Lebron James...role models are his parents… fan of the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Wizards and Baltimore Orioles.
