FREDERICK, Md. – The Gallaudet University women's volleyball team continued its unbeaten start to the 2026 season Wednesday evening with a 3-0 victory over Hood College at the Volpe Athletic Center.
Gallaudet (4-0) defeated Hood (0-5) by set scores of 25-20, 25-17 and 25-17. The Bison have won three of their first four matches this season in straight sets.
Senior outside hitter
Brielle Worley (Amarillo, Texas) led all players with 20 kills on 38 attempts with only five errors for a .395 hitting percentage. Worley added seven digs in the victory.
Senior outside hitter
Jada Zarembka (Riverside, Calif.) was equally efficient as she knocked down 14 kills on 25 attempts with five errors for a .360 hitting percentage. Zarembka added six digs, two service aces and two block assists.
First-year setter
Gracie Gloster (Clark, N.J.) passed out a match-high 31 assists and served up a match-high four aces to go with four digs. First-year libero and reigning United East Defensive Player of the Week
Tori Harris (Stockbridge, Ga.) made seven digs and served two aces.
Gallaudet hit .267 as a team with 38 kills while holding Hood to a .025 hitting percentage and 22 kills. The Bison served 10 aces and finished the match strong with a .333 hitting percentage in the third set.
Hood was led by senior outside hitter Cam Madden, who recorded seven kills, eight digs and two service aces while first-year outside hitter Grace Tamburin added four kills in the loss.

- Worley recorded 20 or more kills in a match for the 20th time during her Gallaudet career (2024-26).
- First-year opposite Aliyah Medearis (Colorado Springs, Colo.) served two aces and added a block assist.
- Graduate student Bri Eilderts (Omaha, Neb.) recorded three kills on eight attempts (.375) and two block assists.
- Sophomore middle hitter Kayla Debrow (Jacksonville, Fla.) finished with two blocks (one solo).
- Gallaudet improved to 14-1 against Hood in confirmed meetings dating back to 2007.
- The Bison have won nine straight over the Blazers.
- GU has won in straight sets against Hood, 10 of the 14 victories, including the last five meetings.

Gallaudet travels to Sweet Briar, Va., on Saturday, Sept. 12, for a tri-match at Sweet Briar College. The Bison will face Saint Elizabeth University at 3 p.m. before taking on host Sweet Briar at 5 p.m.
