TOWSON, Md. – The Gallaudet University women's volleyball team continued its perfect start to the 2026 season Thursday night with a 3-0 victory over Goucher College at the Decker Sports and Recreation Center.
Gallaudet (7-0) won 25-13, 25-11, 25-8 to extend the best start to a season during Head Coach
Lynn Ray Boren's 22-year tenure.
Senior outside hitter
Jada Zarembka (Riverside, Calif.) led the Bison with 10 kills and only one error on 17 attempts for a .529 hitting percentage. She added six digs, two service aces and one block assist.
Senior outside hitter
Brielle Worley (Amarillo, Texas) finished with nine kills, five digs, four service aces and two block assists. Graduate student middle hitter
Bri Eilderts (Omaha, Neb.) continued her efficient play with four kills and no errors on seven attempts for a .571 hitting percentage to go with three service aces and two block assists.
First-year setter
Gracie Gloster (Clark, N.J.) passed out a match-high 22 assists and made seven digs. First-year libero
Tori Harris (Stockbridge, Ga.) led all players with nine digs, while sophomore middle hitter
Kayla Debrow (Jacksonville, Fla.) recorded four blocks (two solo).
Gallaudet hit .356 as a team with 29 kills and only eight attack errors on 59 attempts and served up 13 aces. Goucher finished with 11 kills and a negative -.171 hitting percentage.
First-year pin hitter Caroline Carter led Goucher (3-4) with five kills, while sophomore setter Sofia Ortiz passed out nine assists and made six digs.
BISON TRACKS
- The Bison have won six of their first seven matches in straight sets.
- Gallaudet has won 15 consecutive sets since it dropped the fourth set against Geneva on Sept. 5.
- The Bison have won six straight matches against the Gophers dating back to 2021.
- Gallaudet is 13-1 against Goucher since 2010.
UP NEXT
Gallaudet gets set for its home and United East Conference opener on Monday, Sept. 21, against the Nittany Lions from Penn St.-Abington at 7 p.m. in the Field House. The match will also serve as GU Athletics and Gallaudet University's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Mental Health Awareness Night.
