Division III Student-Athlete Spotlight: In My Own Words by Natalie Greene (STUNT)

WASHINGTON - Gallaudet University athletics is proud to participate in the annual NCAA Division III Week (April 6-12) in an effort to celebrate the impact athletics and Bison student-athletes have on our campus and the surrounding community. GU is joining 426 Division III institutions and 42 voting conferences in this week's celebration.

To help focus on the many student-athletes that represent Gallaudet athletics we will spotlight several student-athletes each day this week. You will learn more about them as they express their feelings on what it is like to be a Division III student-athlete here at Gallaudet. Interviews were conducted by Gallaudet Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant Alyssa Marino and graphics by Athletic Communications Coordinator Bruce Saperstein and BoxOut Sports.

First year Natalie Greene (Houston, Texas) is a first-year student-athlete in the women's STUNT program and participated in women's basketball this past year. Greene majors in information technology and is expected to graduate in Spring 2027.

NG: It's basically living a Hannah Montana life, one minute I'm locked in as an athlete, the next I'm a regular college student. It's a lot, but I love the balance and the grind.

What is it like to be a student-athlete at Gallaudet University?
NG:
I love it; people always come up asking about games or our schedule, which is super cool. It makes me proud to represent and be part of that energy on campus.

What is your favorite class at Gallaudet University and why?
NG:
Definitely my VEE podcast storytelling class; it lets me be creative and tell stories my way. I'm currently working on my series Always a Silver Spoon!

What is the best thing about your teammates?
NG:
My teammates are hilarious, no question. Practice is always a good time, and the vibes are unmatched.
