LANCASTER, Pa. – Gallaudet University men's volleyball dropped a United East conference match here Wednesday night as Lancaster Bible College swept the Bison, 3-0, inside the Horst Athletic Center. The host Chargers won by scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-14.
Gallaudet falls to 8-15 overall and 4-3 in conference play while Lancaster Bible improves to 13-10 and remains unbeaten in the United East at 6-0.
Lancaster Bible, currently atop the conference standings, used a strong service game to control the match as the Chargers finished with 12 service aces.
Sophomore
Tyler Wascher (Noblesville, Ind.) led the Bison with seven kills and three service aces. Sophomore setter
Troy Holcomb (Fremont, Calif.) dished out 15 assists and added four blocks, including one solo stop at the net. Sophomore
Zachary Bippus (Fishers, Ind.) contributed six kills, five digs, and three blocks (two solo) in the loss.
Lancaster Bible was paced by Kevin Bryant, who recorded a match-high 10 kills, while Timothy Fletcher handed out 30 assists. Zeke Clark led the Chargers from the service line with seven aces.
With the loss, Gallaudet slips to fifth place in the United East standings heading into the final weekend of the regular season.

Gallaudet will close out the regular season on Saturday, March 28, in Phoenixville, Pa., with a United East match against the University of Valley Forge (7-13, 1-5 United East) at noon. The Bison will then face Brooklyn College (11-6) in a non-conference match at 2 p.m.
